Realized that this was the perfect day to test the parachute for the balloon. So Oksana came over and we went to the rusty tower over in Liberty to test it.
This time there was no wind so it we climbed up to the second platform (higher than that did NOT look safe) and tossed off the capsule. The parachute opened perfectly and slowed the capsule as we hoped and, despite being heavier than the actually equipment would be, the capsule survived without a scratch. A successful test!
Next up is testing the transmitter in the subway and freezer and check that everything will work correctly.
